Math: We had a great class today. Students worked hard at converting decimals to fractions and estimating. We created a simulation from a problem in the book. After grasping what the question was asking students went on to solve several problems using their estimating skills.
Language Arts: We worked on our thank you letters to Senator Sanders for his part in our garden activity last Friday. Students brainstormed the kinds of information they would like to share with the Senator regarding our garden and the lunch program. Students should try to measure their own gardens at home by Friday.
Mod 3: Students did partner reading in the Flipped Book. They began reading the chapter... Get a Grip which they should finish for homework tonight.
Science: Students are working on their adaptation creature for the desert. They can either create a google site or a Show Me narration for a final project.
